Hey, I'm Elaine. Nice to meet you!
My journey into counseling began nearly 20 years ago in the classroom. As an educator, I quickly realized that a student’s success wasn't just about the curriculum; it was rooted in the strength of our relationship and the trust we built. This realization led me to school counseling, where for the last 12 years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting students and families through their most complex challenges, from academic hurdles and navigating common diagnoses such as ADHD to crisis intervention and trauma.
Now, as an LPC Associate, I am expanding that mission into the therapeutic space. I believe that mental health support is a fundamental right, not a luxury. My goal is to provide equitable access to care through a trauma-informed, culturally competent lens, ensuring that every client has a safe, inclusive, and judgment-free space to heal and thrive.
I view every individual through a Systems Foundation, acknowledging that we are all shaped by the families and environments we come from. Whether I am working with an individual, a couple, or a family unit, I see therapy as a true partnership. I integrate evidence-based tools like CBT and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy with practical Executive Functioning supports to help you bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be.
I have a deep passion for working with women and families navigating the unique biological and life transitions that often go unsupported. This includes:
Neurodiversity: As a neurodivergent therapist, myself, supporting clients with ADHD and executive functioning concerns is incredibly important to me.
Maternal Mental Health: Guiding women through the life-changing transition into motherhood and the nuances of parenting.
Hormonal Health: Helping clients manage the daily impact and emotional toll of PMDD.
I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling from Sam Houston State University. To ensure the highest standard of care, I currently practice under the clinical supervision of Dr. Torrenzo Moore, LPC-S (#72109), where I continue to refine my skills and stay current with evidence-based practices.
I am thrilled to bring my years of experience into this space to help clients live their most authentic, empowered life.
